Tipping is generally not a common practice in China. On any specially organized tour, you could check with the guide for any peculiar circumstances.

Hi, I am from germany living in Shenzhen. I just made my chinese driving licence. Only answering 100 english questions on a computer (out of ~1300 questions). I used an agency (took 800RMB) , so I don't know about the details of document handling. I have my german driving licence more than 3 years and a residence stay permit of over 6 months.

The only problem I had, was finding the english questions. But this nifty program helped me learning for the drivers licence test: ubicomputing.de

Hi, I am planning to travel to Jinghong by river/ speedboat or cruise via Mekong river from Chan Sean, Thailand.I would love to stay few days in Ruili/vacation at Yunan and after enjoying water festival in Xishuanabbanna, would head on by train/road to Beijing.

I have three weeks time for the vacations and about to leave from Bangkok, between 1st April and stay back for the water festival in Xishuanbanna before head for Beijing.

Any tips and advice on accomodation, routes and travels and issues of interests is appreciated.

At the time, I was in Guanghan, about to give a lecture at the Civil Aviation University, 40 km north of Chengdu and closer to the quake’s epicenter. It was to be a surreal experience. I've been in a tornado and felt the helplessness one feels when pitted against Mother Nature. But, you can hide from a tornado; down in a basement. There is really no escaping an Earthquake. Its terror strikes you from below.

hello, I'm Alexandre I use to be the chef in Don Papa in Lijiang. I just open my new restaurant and bakery in Lijiang again in YUHE hotel at the entrance of the old town.

we have more choice than before, different kind of bread, ice cream , coffee and more.....

we only serve french food like pepper steak, sea bass, potatos gratin, roast chicken with french fries....etc.....
